My left lobe piercing had slightly closed after 31 YEARS (still wild to me 😭), and Scotty handled it like a pro. He was honest, patient, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. He checked in constantly to make sure I wasn’t in pain and explained everything step by step. The shop is extremely clean, gloves were changed frequently anytime anything was touched beyond my skin, the place smelled great, and everyone was masked to help prevent inhaling airborne pathogens. The vibes were immaculate, the professionalism was top-tier, he even he offered thoughtful recommendations when I asked about tattoo cover-up ideas and accommodated my nickel allergy. We had a great experience at Double Deuce. I had been working with Scotty for a few months to figure out what I wanted and we were having a hard time nailing it down via email and phone. I ended up coming into my appointment without a prepared design but he worked with me for at least 45 mins while we got the details right. He was very patient with how picky I was being and listened to everything I said. He was also honest about how confident he felt doing the actual tattoo. I wanted a fine line piece and he recommended Eddie, who had more experience in the style. Eddie was awesome, always checking on me during the sitting, making sure I was comfortable, giving me breaks, and creating a safe space where I could advocate for my needs. I love how my tattoo turned out and can’t wait to see it fully healed in a few weeks. The studio itself was clean and calm, not intimidating like some other tattoo shops that I’ve been in. I fully recommend Double Deuce and would return if I wanted another tattoo.
